Stop Polluting The Gift

gift

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.”

1 Corinthians 12:4

Gifts. We all have them.

I heard recently in a sermon, that the difference between talent and skill is this – unlike talent, which is the divine gift from the Creator, skill is the discipline one learns in life to fully manifest the full capacity of that talent.

In an age where many refuse to receive the free gift of salvation and the abounding blessings that come with it, the lines of talents and skills indeed become blurred.

Friend, you too are gifted. You too have been called to live a life that gives God all the glory and praise. You too have been anointed with a God-given gift that is for a divine purpose.

Do you know the capacity of your gift?

And have you asked God to reveal to you what HE endowed you with for His purpose?

If you are anything like me, chances are, you already know your gift(s) and you are very much aware of what it is that you alone have an unexplained candid ability to do well, even without trying.

Yet, the divine purpose of the gift sits untouched.

Friend, I am asking you today, are you using your gift outside the will of the Gift-giver? Are you so caught up in the praise and recognition of man that you have created an altar of self-actualization? Have you forgotten that the One who gave it, is the One who can determine what it is to be rightly used for?

I mean, let’s be honest, if that thing, place, endeavor, or project, was the divine fit for your gift, would it really make you feel as tired as you often do? would you be as joyless as you sometimes become? would you not have the peace of the Lord where HE places you to use your gift?

Friend, hear me when I say, the gift is not yours to mold, polish, present, or gain from.

Rather, your gift is God’s own mark THROUGH you in this world. HE is the Potter so let HIM mold your gift according to HIS will.

It is time to stop using what you know to advance your own selfish desires.

Yes, selfish.

I admit it myself, this was not a truth I embraced readily. But the truth of the matter is, if the gift is not glorifying the Gift-giver, then it is as though it is without value.

God knows what HE created you for. HE alone knows the power of His gift inside you. How then can anything or anyone outside God bless the use of the gift?!

Remember that wherever you go, your gift goes. So, where have you been? Where are you now? And have you been using your gift accordingly in those places?

Another year is nearing its end and the seasons are in place for your gift to be manifested. It is time to stop, listen, and obey. The world is waiting on your gift! Your gift and mine!

Friend, the time will come when the Almighty will ask, “son what did you do with what I gave you?” And on the Glorious Day, I pray for you, and I, that we too will hear, “well done, my faithful servant,” in Jesus name. Amen.

Seeds

seeds

“Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.”

Genesis 1:11

You have seeds inside you. You are a fruit-bearing seed. You are that which the Lord in His Omnipotence created.

God’s plan for us to be ‘fruitful and multiply,’ was made certain with the seeds that HE alone placed in us when He formed us in the womb. And because He is an ever-flowing Source of abundance in EVERYTHING, you must surely be fruitful.

Seeds.

If you look all around you, the towering trees and unending fields are the evidence of the countless seeds of God all over the world. He planted them, and by His word and power, they brought forth fruit and indeed multiplied.

Is it possible then that God would place seeds of power, truth, love, and greatness inside of you, but won’t let it grow?

Friend, your seeds await their bloom.

I wonder if you have aligned yourself with the Most High God to water the seeds of purpose inside you.

Don’t you know that the seeds of doubt, deceit, destruction, fear, uncertainty, and worry, are all seeds of life? Are you not aware that these are the weeds planted by the enemy in a futile aim to distract you from the seeds of grace inside of you?

The seeds of heaven are within you and no word from God will go forth void!

You were created to be fruitful. You and your house are meant to inherit the abundance of God from heaven. God’s intention towards you and I are to prosper so His Name may be glorified.

Friend, the seeds in you are like no other, for God perfectly placed them distinctively in you.

Why then are you yet to nurture your seeds? Why then have you allowed the enemy to pollute the place where your seeds are planted? Why then have you ignored the promise of God in those seeds? Why then are you not preparing for the harvest from God?!!!

How ironic is it that we water the seeds of malice, hate, gossip, and un-forgiveness so easily, but forget that there are seeds within us that all of creation are waiting to see bloom?!

Can you see the enemy at work here?!!!

Can you hear the voice of Heaven reminding you that there is a purpose to your life through the seeds of God in you?!

Friend, it is time to work on your garden, the place of germination inside you, the realm of fruitfulness and prosperity inside of you.

And it is my prayer today that the Lord of Hosts, who planted these seeds inside you, will clear out the weeds around your seeds. May God remove any person or thing in your life that is stifling the growth of your seeds. May the grace of God let out a downpour of divine water onto your seeds and may the unfailing Word of God be fulfilled for the world to see in Jesus name. Amen.

Purpose Detects Pollution II

pollution

“To answer before listening – that is folly and shame.”

Proverbs 18:13

Friend, how often do you answer to a voice inside without first listening?

How many times in the past have you been quick to heed the direction of something you did not fully listen to?

Yes, you heard the voice say, “do it…” but you did not fully listen to the other end of this very voice that says, “it is against God’s commandment…It is against your purpose…I will lead you astray…”

Purpose detects pollution.

I was amazed by the prove of God’s command through the lips of a young girl. I wondered if I was as obedient to the voice of purpose inside me at such a tended age. I wondered how many times I quickly answered the voices of pollution without listening to the voice of purpose that first detected the pollution.

Friend, have you protected your purpose from the pollution it has detected?

Or are you still freely residing in it out of disobedience or shame?

When I spoke privately with this young lady, I confessed to her that I was inspired by her awareness to the pollution to her purpose. I then asked her to consider deeply that perhaps the environment of friendships she currently resided in was a place that God is taking her away from to protect the purpose inside of her. I asked her to pray fervently for God’s direction and to not be afraid.

Admittedly as I spoke to her, my own words resonated with me as I began to consider the environments I currently resided in – the people I closely related to, my job, the shows I watched, the songs I listened to, and even the media platforms I exposed myself to.

How about you friend? Do you sense the pollution inside you and around you? Are you praying for purpose sake?

Or are you the pollution that purpose detects?

By the grace of God, who is the beginner and finisher of our race, every high thing or thought that wants to exalt itself above God’s purpose in your life in the form of one pollution or another, has become powerless by the blood of Jesus. May you live freely in God’s truth as you walk away from pollution and continue living on purpose in Jesus name. Amen.

Purpose Detects Pollution I

pollution

“Now my son, listen carefully and do what I tell you.”

Genesis 27:8

Before this place, this precious, sacred, place of solitude with God, I sat, talked, walked, and slept in pollution. My eyes were shut to the pollution around me because I had not yet detected the pollution inside me.

Before I go any further, I have to clarify on what it means to first be pollution and then reside in pollution.

To walk with God, is to walk in purpose, a divine purpose. Trusting God in your journey through life says that you believe HIM when HE told you that HE knew you and formed you in your mother’s womb. Purpose is the reason you are still alive. Purpose is God’s own intentionality towards HIS own, YOU.

However, being born into a world of sin complicates things at first, seeing that we are ‘innocent’ until life happens and we learn that indeed we were never innocent. Some one paid the price for us even before we were born. Thank God for HIS Son.

All too often, we easily point fingers at the external – the people, things, events all around us that is to blame for who we are, what we do, and the pollution we know we have become. Unknowing to us, the pollution in us created many of what is polluted around us.

READ ABOUT A MALNOURISHED SPIRIT

I wonder if the Spirit of God at any time whispered something to you to alert you of the pollution that was growing way back then.

Friend, do you know that with purpose, comes pollution? Are you yet aware of the principalities of wickedness in high places whose sole purpose is to be a pollution to YOUR purpose?!!!

A lovely young lady recently voiced her personal struggle in one of our meetings at church. She needed advice on walking away or staying close to ‘friends’ she did not feel spiritually aligned with.

I was in awe at the voice of the Spirit that spoke clearly to this blossoming 14-year-old and the obedience that resided in her young heart.

Then it became much clearer to me. PURPOSE DETECTS POLLUTION!

It is no question that you and I are purposed by the One who created us, but I wonder if you can sense the pollution that your purpose has readily detected. FINISH READING HERE

Positioned by Purpose

positioned

“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee.”

Acts 26:16

We serve a God of purpose.

There is nothing that has happened, is happening, or will happen that is of no purpose. This is what I have come to realize as I strive to mature and grow spiritually each day. God is all the way intentional!

Absolutely nothing in your life or present circumstances are of no purpose. God is detailed in His work and because the Lord knows the beginning and the end, because He is for us and not against us, He leaves nothing to chance.

This brings me to your current position. I am not just referring to your position at work, but your position in its entirety, your whole placement in life in the present moment. What is it? Are you even aware of it?

Do you know that the position you play at work, at home, at your church (if you have a church home), among your peers, amidst your family, among your co-workers, and in the society, are all supposed to align as one?!

I know crazy right?!

I always thought (because I heard from the world) that it is okay to be one person at work, and another outside work, one character at home, and another outside home, one persona at church, and another at a social setting. That’s a whole lot of persons to be!

We have forgotten that the One who made us, made only one of us. We often misplace the idea that when God created our person, He created it with one great purpose, for one great position that only the one He created can fit into.

So I ‘ll ask again, are you positioned by purpose?

Or have you been convinced by a voice outside the voice of God, that you were made to be a person without a purposeful position?

READ “WHO TOLD YOU?” SERIES

Friend, has the world instilled a restless spirit inside you that has you trying to fit from one position to another to no avail?

Regardless of how many persons you have concocted to fit the mode of this world, I am here to remind you that there is a position vacant, waiting for its purposeful filling, you.

If you don’t already know, or if you have misplaced what God declared for you through missteps, I re-proclaim truth over your life today – Your life is purposeful and the enemy can never win that battle that tells you otherwise. Victory is already yours in the name of Jesus.

Do know that the only position that will ever bring you the peace, joy, and fulfillment that you yearn for daily, is one that purpose grants.

So it is indeed time to ASK YOUR MAKER.

May you be re-aligned with the Will of the Most High today. And as God prepares you to be positioned in purpose, I pray that you are strengthened and made whole by HIS truths in Jesus name. Amen.

The Greatness In You Is Greater Than You – Part 3

greatness

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

3 John 1:4

Your life and purpose are part of God’s Great intention. In fact, your life alone is God’s purpose.

Wherever you are in your journey right now, whatever it is that you have been striving endlessly to accomplish, have you considered that the greatness you sought is so little in comparison to the greatness that the Great One intended when HE FORMED YOU IN YOUR MOTHER’S WOMB?

I can’t begin to imagine how hard you have pursued that dream that seems to elude you no matter what. But I can relate to chasing something that seems so big in our eyes, but truly is beyond small in the Great eyes of God Almighty.

There is a greatness in you, and it is called purpose, which brings me to the conclusion of this blessed word.

Bottom line, if what you are doing, or what you are thinking about doing, only benefits you, then that which you are thinking of is not the greatness that is in you.

I urge you, I pray for you, to take a moment and recall what you are doing with your life. Consider your relationships, your friendships, your alliances, your business dealings, your intimate relations, your academic career, ALL your ways, your acquaintances, your bonds, both loose and strong, ask yourself, “what am I doing here?” “What am I really doing here?” “What has been, is, and will be the purpose in this thing?”

Because in case you have forgotten, “He is the One that was, is , and is to come,” and the greatness that has been harbored inside of you is parallel to all that God is.

If you’re questioning your purpose, your calling, or the Will of God, the Spirit has given me one answer for you – you must serve. Because if you are not serving, you are not giving, and if you are not giving, then you are merely taking, which is robbery in the eyes of God.

Have you been serving? How have you given lately? To what degree have you served others even when you are the one leading or carrying them?

Do you know that serving one another was a command by God? Do you know that serving each other is serving God because it points to Him and the goodness of His Holy Spirit to bind us in love and servitude?

Lord, grant us the heart to serve.

Often times, the only worship that we are familiar with is singing, and giving praise. But do  you know that serving others as you align with God’s purpose, is also part of your worship?

In your heart lies your worship, and in your worship lies your inevitable purpose to serve the name above all names. There is no question about how Great He is that is in you, as there is no doubt that the greatness inside of you is greater than You. God is greater than all of your circumstances and all your self-centered pursuits. His Will be done in Jesus name.

May the Lord grant us both the awareness to awaken the purpose that HE has placed in the core of our being and may the presence of this truth in us, work together for our good and His everlasting glory in Jesus name. Amen.

The Greatness In You Is Greater Than You – Part 2

greatness

“But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Matthew 6:23

How wonderful is it that there is a purpose for every living breathing child of God?!

How merciful is grace that as undeserving as we are, God sees you and I worthy enough to finish what He started even before He placed us in our mother’s womb? How amazing is the gift of greatness from a great God to His children?

Recently, someone dear to my heart asked me, “Tobi, what do you think I can do?”

This person is one of the most dedicated, hardworking individual I know. She is graceful, grateful, and generous. She never complains about the weight she readily carries for others as she strives to be the best mother, daughter, wife, and leader possible.

My heart leaped for joy over her inquiry to me because I know that the Spirit has brought her to a place where awareness is awakened. So, as I silently thanked the Spirit on her behalf, I answered, “You are asking the right question, but asking the wrong person.”

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT “DON’T ASK IF…ASK YOUR MAKER”

The point of the whole matter is, this young lady has arrived at a realm of understanding that the greatness that God Himself placed inside of her, is knocking and it is time for that door to open. She knows that in the depths of her soul, is a calling that is greater than she is, a calling that surpasses getting a paycheck to sustain herself, her family, and those who depend on her from time to time for financial support. She knows that there is more to her BECOMING.

Friend, allow me to re-assure you today that though your actual purpose may be different, the existence of it, that great calling on your life, is the same as it is for every single one of God’s children.

Consider the scripture above. Even Christ proclaimed the greatness of what is inside you, and this was before He got on the cross! Christ was reminding us, that if the light in us (which is yet another confirmation of the presence of God inside of you) was for evil, even the magnitude of such darkness would be great! That is the magnitude of God’s power in you – an unsearchable greatness! FINISH READING HERE

The Greatness In You Is Greater Than You – Part 1

greatness

“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”

Matthew 23:11

The greatest man that ever lived was a servant! Remember him? His name was Jesus. The greatness of our Savior began with His being the son of man and of the Holy Spirit, but ended with Him being the servant who died to grant the world salvation.

Now if anyone disagrees, I say show me another man who was crucified, died, was buried, and rose again!.

There is only One.

How ironic is it that the greatest leaders are those who serve their followers? Pastors intercede for church members, civil right leaders give encouragement to their followers, presidents serve (are supposed to at least) the greater needs of the society, and the list goes on.

And if there was ever a doubt to be had about such an ideal, allow me to remind you of that time that Jesus, the Messiah, the King of kings, the Great Healer, the Shining Star, the bright and morning Sun, yes, that Jesus.

Remember the time He washed the feet of His disciples?! Not one of them, not the one He loved most (Peter), but all of their feet. In all His grandeur and greatness, Jesus served those that followed Him by washing their feet. And then in the greater context of His Salvation mission, Jesus inevitably served you and I by dying on the cross to put sin to death on behalf of God’s children.

It is no coincidence that Jesus referred to us as His own brethren.

Can you think of any greater service than giving up your life, and carrying the burdens of sinners to the grave, then rising again to give them new life? And not once asking for anything in return?!!! Jesus served. Hence, His greatness is forever glorified in all the earth and heavens.

Friend, have you at all given any thought to the greatness in you?

I wonder today if you are like me and have been feeling the pull to a greater call beyond what you are doing and what your convictions are based on your present circumstances.

The Word declares that,

Great is He who lives in me,”

So how can you expect for anything you do to be anything less than that which is in you? CONTINUE READING HERE

The Climb Is Not In The Ladder, It’s In You

ladder

“Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.”

Deuteronomy 33:25

“Moving up the ladder,” is a well-known phrase in today’s world of strive and determination. But as a child of God, would you believe me if I told you that the climb is not in the ladder, but in you?

We were not all created to start our own businesses and be our own bosses, but every single one of God’s children has greatness coursing through their blood. God has given both you and I our own individual greatness in which we are to shine through to the world for the glory of our Father in heaven.

So how come the only way we often see to make it to the highest heights (that God has promised), is by climbing on an invisible man-made ladder, rank, or level?

Don’t you know that the greatness is not in the ladder but in you? What have you sacrificed to climb man’s ladder?

I mean what happens if the ladder breaks or malfunctions? what makes you so sure that the ladder can ever hold the weight of all that you are called to be?!

In other words, man’s promises and strategies have no stand against the certainty of God’s will. The saying in this context might only refer to a ladder, but as many of us know, there are many other ways that man will try to convince you to reach the height of success. The temptations are indeed many. Yet it is God who promises in Job chpt 8 vs 7 that,

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”

The Spirit says God is with you wherever you are, and wherever you go and He who put a great work in you shall surely fulfill it! God does not need anyone’s help for HE is God alone and HE alone is God!

So, is your trust in man and the ladder that man has built? Or is your trust in the Most High God who has given you the gift or talent in the first place?

I wonder how many of us are waiting in line to climb up a ladder to get to where we are going, not realizing that the climb is not in the ladder but in us.

If it is God’s will for you to walk to your great height of destiny, do you really need that ladder after all? And if God gives you the wings to soar to your great height of purpose, what is the use of that ladder?

Man cannot determine how far you will go and when you will get there. That power and glory belongs to the One God who created you for great things!

I pray for you and I that we may be encouraged by grace to trust in only One Master who has our destiny in the palm of his hands. May God grant us the patience, humility, understanding, and obedience to wait for HIS time and His way to get us to where we are going in Jesus name. Amen.

Your Stage Is Set (ii)

stage

“Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more…”

1 Chronicles 17:9

I was reminded not too long ago by the Spirit that sometimes, we have to go back to crawling in faith before we can be suited to walk fearlessly in faith.

And I may not know the state of your affairs today, or how tired you really are from limping one day to the next to get to where you  are going, but the Lord your God asked me to remind you today to remember the greatness of the One you serve.

You can wipe away your tears, or let them fall till there is none left, but God says joy is coming, and your faith will not be put to shame.

God did not need your help to place that unique greatness inside of you. He planted it there for a reason and it shall not wither and die by His grace.

There are no auditions or scripts needed to fill your divine place that God has set for you. So stop changing costumes everyday pretending to be what you are not to get to your stage.

He will fill your mouth with the words to utter, so stop practicing the language of the world to speak the wisdom of heaven.

He will gather your thoughts and grant you the wisdom for that next dimension. So stop borrowing ideas from lesser minds of man that try to compete with the Higher ways and thoughts of the El shaddai!

He will pour out new strength and power in your bones to awaken your body and spirit to continue your way to your stage. So stop running aimlessly seeking something that only the Lord of hosts can pour out from heaven.

God’s will be done!

And when you lose focus of that, close your eyes and ask again to see the wonders of the spiritual realm.

There, God will show you a glimpse of the world sitting, waiting anxiously for your arrival on your set stage. You will see your enemies scrambling because the lights of glory all around your stage are blinding to the eyes of wickedness. You will see that there is an open door leading to a stage light, centered by grace and mercy, and all you will have to do when the time comes, is to walk on your divine stage.

God is not man that HE should lie.

I pray that God continues to counsel you through each level of the passage to destiny. May God continue to lead you with His footsteps in your pathway and His merciful hands linked to yours, guiding you through that path in Jesus name. Amen.
